Beat the summer heat with Papa’s ice cream
Papa's Freezeria is a free strategy video game wherein you must run the best beachside ice cream shop in town. Developed by Flipline Studios, this 2D cooking game is part of the popular Papa Louie video game series and features classic restaurant time-management gameplay mechanics.
Similar to Papa’s Donuteria, Papa's Freezeria is all about ice cream this time—requiring you to take customer orders and deliver them in time to earn money for the shop. This is the fourth game in the Papa Louie franchise and is the original version of the Papa's Freezeria HD and Papa's Freezeria To Go! mobile games.
Where can I play Papa's Freezeria now?
The Papa Louie game franchise is a collection of classic free browser games that are well-known for their restaurant management gameplay. In them, you serve specific dishes to customers depending on the theme of the game. Papa's Freezeria, for instance, is about freezer treats or sundaes and has you creating various sundaes with different cup sizes, flavors, syrups, and toppings to please your customers.
The game features a wide variety of ingredients like whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. There are over 50 unique customers available and your skills will also be challenged by a myriad of “Closer” customers and the dreaded Food Critic. Plus, there are 80 in-game achievements you can earn. However, what’s really special about this title is that it was the first to introduce the restaurant decoration system.
Here, you have a fully-customizable lobby, allowing you to decorate it using the 100 or so decoration items from the Furniture Shop. They even affect your scores while you play. However, as popular as the original Papa Louie games, they were eventually shut down as Flash was eventually discontinued. Now, you can only either play Papa's Freezeria HD and Papa's Freezeria To Go! or find another online game website that hosts it.
Bring out your best sundae
All in all, Papa's Freezeria is a classic restaurant management game for a good reason. While its original web version is no longer available from its developer’s website, it still exists in other sites and versions—retaining its beloved strategy gameplay mechanics and store customization options. If you want to try out the Papa Louie collection, this is a good place to start.
